low ping is what you want. If you have a high ping you lag a lot

lower ping is better, 114 isn't bad but you may end up with some lag because of it being over 100. An average pc + connection will do roughly 100-150 ping and be fine. Top end usually less than 25 ping and mid tier around 50 is usual for me anyway at least.

Ping is the time a message from your PC to the server and back takes in milliseconds. Everything above 100 brings problems in a shooter game, everything over 200 isnt playable.

I try for servers that I ping 40 or less. Anything over 70 and you start to get problems with rubber banding.

Ping is a "response" from the server, so you need it fast ...or is it better for you if you ask something in a store and the merchant looks at you for 1 minute and then responds? :D

So does that "deer in the headlights" look mean "connection lost"?

The server has been at 60 (I dont usually check) this is the highest ive seen it go
